Life Framer Competition

Life Framer is a platform for discovering, sharing, and exhibiting contemporary photography. They run monthly calls for entries, each with a different theme and judge. At the end of every 12 months, they exhibit the winners in gallery settings around the world.

The theme for the upcoming competition is “Home Sweet Home.” They are interested in ideas of the home – as a place and as a feeling.

The competition is open to all genres, such as social documentary, architecture, conceptual, still life, portraiture, editorial, food or fine art.

2022 International Photography Competition

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) has put out a call for photographers to participate in a photography competition.

The contest is divided into seven categories: Conceptual; Abstract; Still Life; Documentary/ Photojournalism; Nature/Science/ Animals; Places/ Landscapes/ Drone and People/ Portraits.

The jury will select the winners based on the criteria of originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact, artistic merit, and as otherwise determined by the judges.

For each category of the competition, three winners will be selected. Also, an overall winner will be selected from all submitted photographs.

Winning submissions will be printed for exhibition in the FMoPA Community Gallery. Additional benefits that winners will earn are:

  • A $1,000 prize for the Best in Competition, who will also be considered for a public art exhibition on a billboard, be part of a group exhibition at FMoPA, and be taken into consideration for a solo exhibition at FMoPA;
  • For winning submissions in each category: First Place winners will receive goods and services valuing $100, be considered for a public art exhibition on a billboard and be part of a group exhibition at FMoPA. Second and Third Place winners will be considered for a public art exhibition on a billboard and be part of a group exhibition at FMoPA.

Color Space: Contemporary Photography

Black Box Gallery has announced the color photography juried group photo show.

This competition is dedicated to contemporary color photography, and it focuses on any kind of subject, such as landscape, portraiture, architecture, fashion, street, abstract, documentary, still life, narrative, conceptual projects, nature, and night photography.

The question to which contest participants should respond with their artworks is: How do photographers use color to think about, compose, stylize, captivate, and present contemporary photography?

The winners will be allowed to plan an exhibition at Black Box gallery, featuring 24 photographers.

An additional 30 photographs will be selected by the jury for an exhibition in their on-line gallery annex.

Finally, all 54 photographs from the show will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books.

Monochrome Awards – International Black & White Photography Contest

Monochrome Photography Awards is one of the most famous annual competitions in the field of amateur and professional photography.

The contest is subdivided into two main categories: Professional and Amateur, and it is reserved for black and white photography.

Winners will earn the titles of “Monochrome Photographer of the Year” and “Monochrome Discovery of the Year,” along with cash prizes.

The award is a chance for photographers to be internationally recognized and advance their careers.

Also, photographers who win the first, second and third place, as well as other submissions that judges deem worthy of commendation from both categories will be published in the Monochrome Photography Awards Annual Book.


Deadline: 2 July, 2022

Submission fees: $20 per image for professional photographers; $15 per image for amateur photographers (before the early bird deadline - TBA). After the early bird deadline, price goes down to $5 per image for both categories.

Neutral density photography awards 2022

ND Awards aims to promote photography and photographers, providing them with a place where they can show different points of view and thrive through competition. 

Their annual photography contest is divided into Professional and Non-professional categories.

The jury will select 6 winners from the professional section and 5 winners from the non-professional section, as well as a Grand winner from both professional and non-professional photographers.

Winners from both sections will be entitled “ND Photographer of the Year” and “ND Discovery of the Year” and will win cash prizes.

Also, winners will be featured on the front page of ND Magazine and will also have the opportunity to be showcased for a year on the front page of Winners' Gallery.
