2022 Academic Year Fall Internship - Withney Museum of American Art

The Whitney’s paid Academic Year Fall Internship program offers a semester long internship for undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited academic program. For Fall 2022, interns will commit from 16 to 21 hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks for a total of 200 hours.
The decision as to whether or not the internship will be virtual or hybrid has not been determined.

  • $3,000 stipend (200 hour requirement for the semester)
  • Interns are assigned to a specific museum department for the duration

Volunteer: Social Media & Web Intern- Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space

The mission of the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (MoRUS) is to preserve history and promote scholarship of grassroots urban space activism by researching and archiving efforts to create community spaces. We will also exhibit materials that document these actions, to educate people on the political implications of reclaimed space.

All interns must submit a resume and cover letter. This is an unpaid position and you must be willing to contribute at least 15 hours a week for 3 months, but we are really flexible. Almost all interns operate from the front desk of the museum so you must have good greeting skills and some organizing ability.

The social media and web intern will help to publish content on the museum's website and facebook page. They will help promote the museum's events and keep people updated on our various social media platforms.

Museum Administration Internships - Columbia County Historical Society

Columbia County Historical Society is seeking an administrative intern for the 2022 Fall Semesters. The internships offer an opportunity to gain practical and professional work experience in the museum field.

The Non-Profit Administration Intern (unpaid) will  assist in general administrative tasks of the CCHS. These include but are not limited to: processing memberships, assisting with mailings, set-up and breakdown at programs and fundraisers, sorting mail, and various other tasks.

The position will begin in Summer 2022 (flexible).  The Non-P.rofit Administration Intern assists and reports to the Executive Director. Weekly commitment will be approximately 1-2 days per week (7-15 hrs), with flexibility in scheduling.

Fall 2022 Semester Internships - Brooklyn Museum

As a Brooklyn Museum intern, you’ll join a dynamic group of other emerging arts professionals to re-envision the future of museums while gaining workplace skills through hands-on, real-world projects.

Brooklyn Museum goal is to provide you with the most current methods and tools that are relevant to your field and interests, assign projects that are tailored to support your personal and professional growth, and provide space for critical dialogue that challenges the role of museums today.

They offer paid internships for undergraduate and graduate students as well as adults who aren’t enrolled in higher education and who are at least 22 years of age. Recent graduates are also eligible to apply.
